1955 Wood Goat: Own Sign Year in 2027
The 1955 Goat year began early, on Jan 24, 1955, and ran to Feb 11, 1956, so January and early February 1956 births are Wood Goats too.
2027 is the Year of the Fire Goat: the 1955 Goat’s own sign year (本命年), and the year they turn 72. Just before it, 2026 brings the Horse, the Goat’s Secret Friend in the traditional rules, so the two years read quite differently. The year name 乙未 shares 沙中金, “gold in the sand,” with 1954.
Born in January or Early February 1955?
The Chinese year does not start on January 1. Lunar New Year 1955 was on Monday, Jan 24, 1955, so births before that date belong to the year before.

Compatibility follows the animal, not the element. Tradition favors the signs in the Goat's trine group and its Secret Friend, and is cautious about the opposite sign and the harm pair.
