2015 Wood Goat, Sheep or Ram?
In 2015 English-language news kept asking whether it was the Year of the Goat, the Sheep or the Ram. The Chinese word 羊 covers all three, so any of them is a fair translation.
Lunar New Year 2015 came very late, on Feb 19, 2015: everyone born from January 1 to Feb 18, 2015 is a Wood Horse. 2015 Goats turn 12 in 2027, their first own sign year.
Born in January or Early February 2015?
The Chinese year does not start on January 1. Lunar New Year 2015 was on Thursday, Feb 19, 2015, so births before that date belong to the year before.
| Born | Sign | Year name |
|---|---|---|
| Jan 1 to Feb 18, 2015 | Wood Horse | 甲午 |
| Feb 19, 2015 to Feb 7, 2016 | Wood Goat | 乙未 |
